Advertising Policy

The California Chiropractic Association (CCA) welcomes advertising in its publications and sets forth the following guidelines to ensure that advertisers reach their target markets properly and that publication recipients receive full and appropriate information about advertised products.

The appearance of advertising in the Journal is neither a guarantee nor an endorsement of the product or claims made by the advertiser.

Advertising should be factual, attractive and designed to provide useful product or service information. The advertising shall not contain any information, statement, graphics, or general impression that may appear in any way to be untrue, fraudulent, false, deceptive, or misleading.

CCA encourages advertisements that are of interest to chiropractors as a business, or their families as consumers, or the chiropractic profession as a whole. CCA will also consider advertisements that appeal to the general populace as a whole. CCA does not accept advertisements for postgraduate and continuing education programs that CCA, at its sole discretion, deems to be in conflict (date, location, topic, etc.) with CCA-sponsored programs.

Postgraduate and continuing education programs that do not conflict with CCA-sponsored programs may be accepted for advertising so long as the program is approved and/or sponsored by CCA, the California Board of Chiropractic Examiners or other state chiropractic board, a California chiropractic college or another post-secondary educational institution having status with an accrediting agency recognized by the U.S. Department of Education or a federal, state and/or local government department bureau, board or agency.

CCA does not accept advertisements for prescription drugs.

All submitted advertising shall be subject to the review of the CCA staff and/or the CCA Journal Advisory Board. If and when a submission is found unsuitable for publication or inclusion, the advertiser will be so advised. To avoid rejection of any given advertisement, CCA may request, at its sole discretion, that the advertisement be revised if deemed necessary.
